Volunteer Blog 1: Clean up at Buttercup Park

 Hey all. This is a shorter post about my experience volunteering at Butercup Park, helping clean up and taking out weeds.

When I got first got there, I was greeted by one of the advisors for the event. He greeted me and gave me the rundown of how it would go: first, we would clean up some trash around the park, making sure we get everything we can. They wanted to repaint some of the park, but the rain had made it impossible. Then I met PC, who was really kind and thanked us for coming out. I went to clean up trash for a while, and once it seemed like I was done, I moved on to helping PC with taking i ur some weeds in the garden.

One big thing I learned what that gardening is very nice to do, and it just relaxes you. Another is that there’s a bunch of volunteering opportunities near me, so I’ll definitely try to come to Buttercup again to help.
