Why was this Maus caught?

Hello everyone! This is an Action Project for Forbidden Books. In this unit, we have been going over books and why they were banned. We finished The Absolute True Diary of a Part Time Indian and also chose a book to read, but the book had to have been banned somewhere in order for us to read it. After completing it, we were then tasked with writing up a research paper on it and explaining why it should or should not be banned. We had to find places where the book was banned, the content in the book that got this book banned, if we think the book should be banned and how the author responded to the book's banning. This is my report, so I hope you enjoy it!

This project was relatively easy for me. I have a liking towards writing more long formed texts, so once I was able to get something going, I was able to finish it relatively quickly. Maus was also a very interesting book to read, especially as someone who never really got educated on the Holocaust in any grade up until this point. Seeing the author and his father's relationship become more fractured as Art tries to get closer to his past but his father as well.
