Where am I from?

Hey all!

This is my first year at GCE Lab School! Unfortunately, we're not able to meet in person, but it's actually going pretty well virtually! Anyways, in this post, I want to go over what I was thinking about when making my slam poem.

First, what is slam poetry? Well, it's a type of poem format that doesn't really have any form. Emotions can really run wild in this way, making it my preferred way of writing poetry. Of course, it uses prose and stanzas, but there doesn't have to be any rhyming or flow. It can really be anything. but still in a poem format. 

Next, what was I thinking of when I was writing this? Really, I was thinking of all the places I visit here in Uptown. Different stores, food places, everything. Really, it wasn't hard to think of the places. It was more of finding the words and putting them on paper.

Lastly, why did I do it on paper? To me, it felt more natural and better to have it physically in front of me. Being able to earse and scribble in my notebook than just typing it.
